Youth for the City, City for Youth engages young people in local decision-making and local decision-makers in young people’s ideas and needs. EWC’s partner in the project is the City of Lublin. Lublin is the European Youth Capital 2023.

Young leadership in times of crisis

The Youth for the City, City for Youth project has been adapted to the situation in Ukraine and Poland, and now has a stronger focus on inclusion of young people.

How: till 2024, a number of activities will be implemented that respond to problems and ideas reported during meetings, talks and consultations with Lublin youth, youth organizations and their international partners

Result: increasing the civic involvement of young people (10-30 years old) from Poland and Ukraine in local communities

Fighting antisemitism, xenophobia and racism now!

Building upon several years of cooperation, EWC will partner with the POLIN museum in Warsaw to offer an educational 3-year project for Polish and Norwegian youth addressing hate speech and intolerance, as part of the EEA Grants pre-defined project “Jewish Culture Heritage” (2019-2024). It will provide tools for developing competences such as tolerance, intercultural understanding and critical thinking.
